Purpose of job:

Load the inserts and contacts into a mold that goes into a press, which produces molded faceplates and other components.

 

Level of authority:  

1. Stop press when there is a missing contact or insert.

2. Notify management of any conditions that adversely affect product quality.

3. Initiate the corrective and preventive processes

 

Essential job functions: 

1. Load inserts and contacts and remove finished molded part from mold per quoted cycle time.

2. Clean individual work area using a broom.

 

Additional job functions:

1. Must be able to make small cardboard boxes when required or assigned.

2. Must be able to initiate the corrective/preventive action processes.

3. May need to perform job-related activities as required or assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

Technical

1. Must have attention to detail.

2. Must be attentive and able to take direction.

3. Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.

4. Must be able to interact with co-workers courteously and professionally.

5. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

 

Physical

1. Must have good hand control and finger dexterity.

2. Must be able to see details at a close range.

3. Must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms for an 8-hour shift.

4. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

5. Must be able to bend or stoop occasionally during an 8-hour shift

 

Work environment:  Must be able to function at a moderately loud noise level due to production machines.  The job is performed in a temperature controlled production area. 

 

 

Tools and equipment:

1. Tweezers

 

Personal protective equipment:

1. Safety glasses

2. Cotton gloves

3. Finger cots

 

Training requirements

1. Employee orientation.

2. Quality policy and measurable objectives.

3. All other training as indicated on department training matrix.
